Flight Into Universal Space.

Translated by S. A. Shorygin under the general editorship of Prof. V. P. Vetchinkin, based primarily on the 1925 second German edition (also in this collection) but expanded with material from Valier’s later work and new sections on N. I. Kibalchich and F. A. Tsander compiled by the editors.

A 1934 editorial afterword attributes Valier’s fatal accident partly to the financial strain of working under commercial patrons like Opel, and expresses confidence that Soviet organizations such as Osoaviakhim could pursue rocketry on a purely scientific footing. HC, no DJ as issued.
