Subtitled on the title page “con 175 grabados y esquemas, 5 grandes láminas y varias tablas comparativas.” Published by Motores, Aribau 1, Barcelona, 1948. The prologue calls the appearance in Spain of a book on motores de reacción a revelation, noting that Spanish readers had until then had to rely on scattered technical-magazine articles and foreign sources not yet translated, and it asks whether the reaction motor is anything more serious than recreational fireworks and the modern war rocket.
After an Introduction and a historical summary (“Resumen histórico”), the book proceeds to the thermodynamics of gas flow and the exhaust nozzle, with formulae and worked examples, then to the individual reaction engines, and it includes some of the first descriptions and illustrations of the V-1 and V-2 weapons in Spanish. Two exemplars are in the collection.
