SEDR 300, Volume I, covering the Gemini spacecraft’s long-range and modified configurations, prepared by McDonnell’s Maintenance Engineering group and accurate as of March 15, 1964, for the three-orbit mission configuration then current.
Twelve sections work through the spacecraft system by system: spacecraft mission, major structural assemblies, cabin interior arrangement, sequence system, electrical power, environmental control, cooling, guidance and control, communications, instrumentation and recording, pyrotechnics and the retrograde rocket, and the landing system, the last illustrated with the 57-foot main parachute’s 72-line two-point suspension.
The approval page carries printed (not hand-signed) review blocks for McDonnell’s maintenance-engineering and project-engineering staff and for the NASA resident manager’s office.
