Advances the idea that long range rockets would be a weapon to render wars impossible. Undated, but assumed 1931 based on currency and historical references in the text: it cites a Kölnische Illustrierte Zeitung issue of 21 February 1931, announces Belz’s next tests for May 1931, and calls General Douhet, who died in February 1930, recently deceased. The title page and copyright page name the Verband der Raketen-Forscher und -Förderer (Leipzig) as issuer, with the Roßberg’sche Buchdruckerei as printer; buying the book carried membership in the society, and a tear-out application form closes the volume. A liquid-propellant rocket is stamped on the cover and printed as the frontispiece.

Part One (pp. 13–139) is a future-history told in dialogues and newspaper reports: a disarmed Germany, crushed by reparations, announces a long-range rocket, a world-peace “guardian” broadcast forbids war in Europe, and a warning rocket lands at an old fort near St.-Mihiel, Poincaré’s home town. A map shows the rocket’s reach from Germany at 11,000–12,500 km.

Part Two (pp. 141–174), “an appeal to the creative minds of all peoples,” turns to real technology: sounding rockets, a mail rocket from Berlin to New York in half an hour, rocket aircraft in the line of Valier and Wilhelm Belz, Oberth’s Moon ship (17 m long, alcohol and hydrogen, dropping its spent first stage after about a minute), and Earth-orbiting stations. The last chapter lets Belz of Gummersbach, Valier’s longtime collaborator, describe his liquid-fuel motor, with a photograph of his “Rak. 1” and his plan to fly Berlin–New York in an hour; the Raketenflugplatz Berlin under Rudolf Nebel is also mentioned. Draws on Oberth’s Wege zur Raumschiffahrt and cites Esnault-Pelterie, both also in this collection.
