A young reader’s picture book of the trip to the Moon, illustrated by Coggins in color and black and white, with an introduction by Willy Ley. It opens with “Who Pays For It?” and walks through the supply ship, the space station, building and launching the Moon ship from “Project X,” the voyage, and the explorers’ Moon base, including its air supply and later uses. Like Across the Space Frontier (also 1952), it makes the space station the first step toward the Moon.
