The second, revised and expanded Russian edition of Sänger’s Raketenflugtechnik (1933), edited by V. A. Shtokolov. The editors dropped the most outdated passages and added Sänger’s later work on rocket flight, including appendices on exhaust velocity and the rocket engine and on the gas kinetics of hypervelocity flight. The editorial foreword credits Tsiolkovsky with the mathematical foundation of rocket theory. The first Russian translation (Kharkov, 1936) and the German original are also in the collection.
