The eleven sections begin with “Was bindet uns an die Erde?” and the overcoming of gravity, take up the artificial moon, the voyage into space, the atmosphere as protection and hindrance, static, dynamic, projectile and rocket flight, the neutral point between Earth and Moon and the Sun as a fetter, and end with a “Kritischer Ausblick” and an appendix collecting the formulae.
