Apollo Spacecraft News Reference: Command and Service Modules

Comprehensive press reference book on the Apollo Command and Service Module systems, issued jointly by North American Rockwell’s Space Division (the CSM’s prime contractor) and NASA’s Manned Spacecraft Center ahead of missions. Undated in its printed text, but its Saturn V and lunar-landing sections describe the mission entirely in the future tense with no reference to any completed Saturn V or Apollo flight, placing this copy in the book’s original 1968 printing, ahead of Apollo 8. Includes fold-out plates among its illustrations, among them a labeled cutaway diagram of the full CSM vehicle and an equipment-bay panel diagram showing the interior arrangement of the command module.
