The catalog entry for this piece covers its history as a Grumman contractor's giveaway and the two-piece construction that mirrors the real Lunar Module's separating ascent and descent stages. This page is simply the fuller record: eight photographs of the model from every side, including the ascent stage lifted free of the descent stage and its Grumman–NASA base, the way the two were designed to part company over the Moon.
