A popular book of about 125 pages by the astronautics laureate Ari Sternfeld, printed in 100,000 copies. Its six chapters cover the space vehicle, man in space, the motion and observation of satellites, their uses, life aboard a spaceship, and flights to the Moon, Mars, Venus and other bodies. It appears to be an expanded edition of Interplanetary Flights (1955), and Part I of the English-language Soviet Writings on Earth Satellites and Space Travel (1958) appears to be a translation of it; both are in this catalog.
